We’re in this together.
Last year, the Crandell Theatre joined forces with Columbia County Libraries to expand access to the film streaming platform Kanopy for all card-carrying library patrons – their catalogue of over 30,000 films is available to you now, all absolutely free to view via your computer, television, or mobile device.
If you’ve got a library card for one of Columbia County’s eleven library branches, you can start watching now at www.columbiacountyny.kanopy.com. No card? Not a problem. Just sign up for one now at Chatham Public Library and follow their instructions to create a new account; they’ll give you a temporary barcode that allows instant access to their online resources, including Kanopy.*
At least we can all take some solace in cinema. And, as always, in each other.
* The Columbia County Kanopy account, sponsored by the Crandell Theatre, is for all of the libraries in Columbia County, including Chatham. Kanopy allows for multiple accounts through different libraries, but in order to make Columbia County your default account, you need to log in on a laptop or desktop computer first — this setting change is not accessible via Kanopy’s mobile app.
