We’re in this together.
Last year, the Crandell Theatre joined forces with Columbia County Libraries to expand access to the film streaming platform Kanopy for all card-carrying library patrons – their catalogue of over 30,000 films is available to you now, all absolutely free to view via your computer, television, or mobile device.
If you need a place to start, we suggest the FilmColumbia 2018 favorite and sure-fire agoraphobia cure The World Before Your Feet.
“Matt Green has been walking New York City for six years. In this exuberant documentary about a man and his solo quest to walk every inch of the five boroughs, filmmaker Jeremy Workman celebrates Green and the liveliness, diversity and general fabulousness of a spectacular metropolis.” – Laurence Kardish, Co-Artistic Director, FilmColumbia
If you’ve got a library card for one of Columbia County’s eleven library branches, you can start watching now at www.columbiacountyny.kanopy.com. No card? Not a problem. Just sign up for one now at Chatham Public Library and follow their instructions to create a new account; they’ll give you a temporary barcode that allows instant access to their online resources, including Kanopy.
At least we can all take some solace in cinema. And, as always, in each other.
