This raucous new comedy about a past-its-prime theater camp in upstate New York, finds endless, hilarious friction between the eccentric staff, oddball campers and the bro-y son of the camp’s beloved founder, brought on to keep the camp afloat.

Starring Ben Platt, Jimmy Tatro, Noah Galvin and The Bear‘s Ayo Edebiri and Molly Gordon, the film is co-written and co-directed by Gordon and Nick Lieberman, in their directorial debut. Gordon and Platt have known each other since early childhood, and it is evident in their chemistry together and with the equally fabulous young cast. No wonder Theater Camp won a special jury prize for Best Ensemble at Sundance. Keep an eye out for the wacky and wonderful Amy Sedaris in a pivotal role.

“The screenwriters… find ways to turn potential cliches into something fresh and funny. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, jeez, you might even sing.” — Kate Erbland, IndieWire
“This celebration of dorks, divas, and devotion to one’s art would feel sweet at any time, but as actors join writers on the picket line, it ends up being a little spicy as well.” — Alison Willmore, New York Magazine/Vulture
