Young Coriolanus Snow, age 18, is handsome and charming. Though his family has fallen on hard times, he sees a chance to change his fortunes when he is chosen to be a mentor for the Tenth Hunger Games. This origin story of the tyrannical President of Panem, who terrorized the contestants in the earlier Hunger Games films, adds depth to a central character while giving fans a look at how it all started.

“Remarkably, Songbirds & Snakes has found a way to make the Hunger Games feel new and sharp.” — Alex Abad-Santos, Vox
“Luckily, (Tom) Blyth is savvy enough to not lean into the mustache-twirling or the telegraphing of horrors to come… Both the actor and Ballad seem to respect the fans and the franchise.” — David Fear, Vanity Fair
