A mother fleeing a violent, abusive husband who threatens to take their daughter, ends up with her at a women’s shelter, after which the two must reconstruct their lives. This totally assured debut from Australian/Iranian director Noora Niasari boasts of an array of powerful performances. Played the Sundance festival.
