In the early 1970s, Greg Laurie and a sea of young people descend on sunny Southern California to redefine truth through all means of liberation. Inadvertently, Laurie meets a charismatic street preacher and a pastor who opens the doors of his church to a stream of wandering youth. What unfolds is a counterculture movement that becomes the greatest spiritual awakening in American history. Based on the 1971 TIME Magazine cover story of the same name, this true story of  how a community of teenage hippies found an alternative lifestyle in born-again Christianity also traces the rise of one of the country’s very first megachurches.

“One of the most appealing faith-based big-screen entertainments in a while, polished and persuasive without getting too preachy.” — Dennis Harvey, Variety
