A rollicking return to the D&D universe, this entertaining and comical reboot centers on a charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers who embark on an epic quest. In search of a long lost relic, they quickly run afoul of all the wrong people across a wild and whimsical range of unexpected places. Not just for devotees of the role-playing game, the film features a great ensemble cast led by Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez and Regé-Jean Page. Hugh Grant, in yet another campy villainous role, is a smarmy delight.
