Jim McKay, who directed episodes of The Wire, Treme, and more, creates suspense worthy of Hitchcock in the service of transforming what seems like a trivial problem into a profound dilemma within the immigrant community in Brooklyn. Set in Sunset Park, the film follows Jose, an undocumented Mexican worker and soccer star, who has to choose between playing in the championship, and his job at a restaurant. This is a small film about a big subject, with consequences for all of us.
