FilmColumbia is thrilled to honor long-time Crandell supporter and Avatar star Stephen Lang during FilmColumbia’s 25th anniversary year. Lang originated the iconic role of antagonist Colonel Miles Quaritch in James Cameron’s Avatar franchise. The latest in the series, Avatar: Fire and Ash, now featuring the recombinant Quaritch, is set to release this December.

A Tony-nominated theater actor and former co-artistic director of the Actors Studio in New York, Lang’s many lauded performances on stage have included roles in The Speed of Darkness, Death of a Salesman and his one-man show Beyond Glory. The festival will screen Last Exit to Brooklyn (1989), the upcoming wall-to-wall action film Sisu: Road to Revenge (2025), and the incredible true Holocaust story The Optimist (2025) to showcase his range of indelible film roles.

Kick-Off Party ticket holders will receive free admission to each of the Lang screenings.
