The filmmaking duo who gave us RBG and My Name is Pauli Murray have turned their attention to Julia Child, the woman who, in her fifties, changed the way America looked at food. Julia, stuffed with archival footage, rare photographs, and revelatory interviews with the chefs and food critics like Ina Garten, is a delicious delight, an exhilarating portrait of an exuberant cook (of French food), an indefatigable writer, a loving wife and a social activist. Columbia County’s own Ruth Reichl, who is in the film, will host a Q&A afterwards.
