Poor misunderstood Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin): A perpetual prankster, he secretly wishes he could just stay home alone and do whatever he wants. When he is accidently left behind by his vacationing family, he gets his wish, but also more than he bargained for. Bumbling burglars Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), about to rob the McCallister house on Christmas Eve, are no match for Kevin’s endless trail of DIY booby traps. John Candy, Catherine O’Hara and John Heard round out the zany adults in Kevin’s orbit. The Oscar-nominated score of this Christmas classic is by none other than John Williams.

“This giddy, warm-hearted comedy will have both children and grownups giggling in the aisles.” — Kathleen Carroll, The New York Daily News
“Culkin is a vivid screen presence, almost incandescent with confidence.” — Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian
